I am searching for my birth family. I was born July 5, 1967 in Marin County, California. I was adopted about 20 days later. The finalized adoption was not until February of 1968. I was also the first birth for my birth mother. My birth name was Karen Mitchell, so my mothers maiden name is Mitchell. She was 20 years old at the time of birth, and was a college student studying liberal arts, and also working as a file clerk at a shirt manufacturing company.I am not sure what college. There is no information about my birth father known, except that he is caucasion and of average height and weight. My maternal grandmother was 5ft7 red hair and green eyes with freckles and was 47 when I was born. My maternal grandfather was 5ft8 150lbs with light brown hair and blue eyes and 42 at the time I was born. He was a builder by trade and they divorced. My maternal grandmother and birth mother moved from Wyoming when my birth mother was 3 to tennessee where my birth mother grew up and my maternal grandmother remarried. My birthmother was the only child for my maternal grandmother and maternal grandfather. My birth mother met her father when she was 19 in California, and I assume had me in the time period she was there. I am 5ft4in with green eyes and dark blond/light brown hair. My adopted name is Travania Sanderson. I will update this more when I get more information.
